Radio Commercial Coming to HOT 92
That’s right folks, the SaveSURGE.org radio commercial will make its debut on HOT 92.1 FM in Harrisburg, PA starting on Monday, February 23. The ad will run twice per weekday between the hours of 3-10pm from 2/23 – 3/05. We’re very hopeful that the ad will call some attention to our cause.

SaveSURGE.org Featured on ilovebacon.com – Traffic Soars
SaveSURGE.org received quite a large spike in traffic this past week and we have the folks over at http://www.ilovebacon.com to thank for most of it! They featured us in their mailbag on 2/13 and sent a lot of new visitors our way. In fact, on the morning of Friday, 2/13 I checked out the page counter on the bottom of the SaveSURGE.org home page and it was at 97,000+. A little after 6pm that same day, the counter had risen to over 100,000 visitors! Of course, the counter is not the end-all in determining web visitors but still it does help in indicating how many people are hitting the site. Our referral report indicated that the ilovebacon.com link was mainly responsible for the extra amount of visitors.
You can check out the ilovebacon.com page featuring the SaveSURGE.org link at:

Thanks to the folks over at ilovebacon.com for helping us reach even more SURGE fans!
Classic SURGE Television Commercial Now Online
Our friend Chaos Theory (a.k.a. John) was kind enough to donate another classic SURGE TV commercial from back in the day. It’s an ad from the 1999 re-launch of SURGE featuring the newer logo and less extreme theme. The ad is sure to bring back some great memories of when the SURGE flowed like water and life was good!

Poll Results – Soda Not Responsible for Obesity
The latest SURGE Poll asked you: “Do you feel that drinking soft drinks leads to obesity?”
57.6% - No
31.5% - Yes
10.7% - Not sure
Total Votes: 130
While soft drinks may not be the healthiest choice out there, many SURGE fans seem to agree that they’re not leading to obesity. There has been a lot of debate about this subject but I think it all comes down to individuals to monitor what they and their children drink.
That’s all the time we have for this week. Thank you SURGE fans for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Eric Karkovack
