Hello everyone and welcome to the 85th edition of SaveSURGE News! We bring SURGE to the people.
Speaking of SURGE…we’d like to remind you to give our friends at Coca-Cola a call toll free at 1-800-GET-COKE and let them know how much you want your favorite soda back on store shelves. You can also contact your local bottler through our Coca-Cola Directory, available at:

Sightings Report
There were no new SURGE Sightings reported since the last edition of SaveSURGE News.

Currently, there are 139 SURGE Sightings listed on the site. Thanks to each and every one of who looks out for SURGE wherever you go!
Eric Interviewed on the David Lawrence Radio Show
I am honored to have been a guest on The David Lawrence Show (http://thedavidlawrenceshow.com/) on Tuesday, February 10, 2004! The show is heard on approximately 80 stations throughout the US and is also available on XM and Sirius satellite radio services. My appearance on the show was a very last minute thing.
Generally I send out a few press release letters every month to various media outlets that I think may be interested in SaveSURGE.org. Early Tuesday afternoon I sent such a letter to David Lawrence after reading about his technology-savvy radio program. Then, just as I sat down to watch an episode of Scrubs the phone rang. It turned out to be David’s talented producer Lili asking if I were available to be on the show later that night. I quickly accepted and then hastily posted the details of the appearance on the site.
The interview was very fun and ended up lasting almost a half an hour. It turned out to be some great publicity for SURGE and the site! Thanks to David and Lili for having me on the show!

Diana & R.M.J. Inducted in the Hall of Fame
First, I’d like to offer my apologies to both of the newest members of the SaveSURGE.org Hall of Fame! Things got a little hectic last week and I completely forgot to include you in the newsletter.
Diana & R.M.J. are two of the most creative SURGE fans we’ve seen and frankly it was only a matter of time before they had their day in the sun.
Diana has quite a large collection of SURGE memorabilia, has contributed many SURGE Sightings and has even created a SURGE-themed WinAMP skin! She was among the first frequent contributors to the site and it is an honor to have her in the Hall.
Visit Diana’s Hall of Fame page:

R.M.J. also has quite the creative side. His hip-hop anthem, “One More SURGE”, has become one of the most popular and widely known features on the site. He’s also taken a trip to the Coca-Cola Headquarters in Atlanta and provided some great photos (along with narration) of his trip to the World of Coke as well. His contributions to the site and love for SURGE have put him in the Hall!

Congratulations to Diana and R.M.J. and thank you for your love of SURGE!

Birthday Greetings Contest Winners
Congratulations to Jeff, Dan and Allen – prize winners in the SaveSURGE.org Birthday Greetings Contest! SURGE fans voted their entries as the “best in show”.
Jeff took a convincing first place with his colorful SURGE-themed wallpaper. Dan took a strong second by creating a collage of some of the most memorable photos from SaveSURGE.org and creating a wallpaper. Allen came in a close third with a great birthday photo that shows off his Photoshop skills. Thank you gentlemen for such great entries!
Also, special thanks to Lauren and Kid Caliente who were the other two finalists involved in the voting. You may not have taken home a prize, but you’re still winners in our eyes! I know, that was a cheesy rhyme :)
