Hello SURGE fans and welcome to the 82nd edition of SaveSURGE News! We’ve been at the forefront of soda activism since 2002!
Since SURGE is already on your mind (you’re reading this so I assume it must be), why not give our friends at Coca-Cola a call toll-free at 1-800-GET-COKE to let them know that you want your favorite soda back! You can also find your local Coca-Cola bottling facility by looking at our Coca-Cola directory available at: http://www.savesurge.org/surge/help_coke.shtml

SaveSURGE.org Radio Commercials Coming Soon
That’s right SURGE fans, soon the people of Central PA will be hearing our message! We’ve arranged for a 30-second commercial promoting SaveSURGE.org to start airing on HOT 92 WWKL-FM (visit their site at http://www.hot92.com) in Harrisburg, PA during a two week span beginning 2/23/04 and ending 3/5/04. The commercial will run a total of 20 times during the weekday hours of 3-10PM. Those of you outside the listening area of HOT 92 will be glad to know that we are going to post the commercial on the site so that everyone can listen in.
We feel that is a huge step in getting the word out there about SURGE and SaveSURGE.org. We expect the response to the ad to be very positive and it should greatly help the cause in this neck of the woods. This should also send a message to Coca-Cola and its bottlers that we are very serious about bringing SURGE back to store shelves (it’s not just any nut off the street who’s going to pay for a commercial…or is it???).
Currently the commercial is in the first stages of production. We will keep you up-to-date on new developments as they happen. Let’s bring it back!

Does John Kerry Like SURGE?
We at SaveSURGE.org like to cut through those ridiculous presidential debate questions and get to the most serious matters. It’s time to be blunt. So, does Democratic Candidate John Kerry enjoy SURGE?
According to his official campaign website, Kerry has recently started shouting “Surge!” during his speeches. While he’s probably talking about his surge in the polls, I think he’s missing out on a great opportunity to promote our favorite soda as well ;) After all, doesn’t every candidate have to cater to some special interest group?
Be sure to discuss John Kerry’s potential for liking SURGE over on the SaveSURGE.org Bulletin Board:
http://www.karks.com/surge/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=800
Also note that is in no way a political endorsement. Remember, we’re all soda, all the time.
