Subway Switches to Coke - It's Time for Action
SURGE + Subway = Happy!Subway Restaurants announced this week that they will be serving Coca-Cola products in the soda fountains of each of their more than 20,000 stores worldwide. Previously, the majority of Subway locations served Pepsi products.

This is not only a huge win for Coca-Cola but it is also a great opportunity for SURGE fans to convince Subway that serving SURGE in their fountains will be worth their while. Just imagine how great it would be if you only needed to visit your local Subway anytime you wanted an ice cold SURGE!

We need each and every one of you to contact Subway headquarters and let them know that we want our SURGE! There is a link to a Subway customer feedback form on the SaveSURGE.org home page, or you can visit the link directly at:
http://www.subway.com/subwayroot/Applications/CustServ/frmCustomerService.aspx

It only takes a minute or two of your time and it's a great way to show your support for SURGE. We can make a difference.

Avery Sits Down with Midwest Coca-Cola Bottling Co.
SaveSURGE.org co-webmaster Avery Lund sat down with an employee of the Midwest Coca-Cola Bottling Company this week to discuss SURGE. Look for Avery's accounts of this interview to be online in the near future.

Coca-Cola HQ Interview Update

Will's SURGE Cab Featured in New Book
Checker Cab Co. Photo HistoryAs many regular visitors to SaveSURGE.org know, Will is a big SURGE fan and the proud owner of SURGE Cab #22 which he won in the Fully Loaded Summer contest held in 1997.

His beautiful 1977 Checker Cab is featured in a new book entitled "Checker Cab Co. Photo History" by James Hinckley. The book is a complete history of the Checker Cab Co., easily the most recognizable name in the business. Will's cab is featured on the last page of the book, with two pictures and captions.

You can check out the photos used in the book and find out how you can get your own copy of "Checker Cab Co. Photo History" in our For the Love of SURGE section.

Congratulations Will!

Poll Results - We want Jack!
The latest SURGE Poll asked you: Which of these celebrities would be the best SURGE spokesperson?

59.8% - Jack Black
14% - Vin Diesel
10.5% - Jared the Subway Guy
6.3% - Allen Iverson
5.6% - Uma Thurman
3.5% - Missy Elliot

Total Votes: 142

"School of Rock" star Jack Black won it by a landslide, with action movie star Vin Diesel coming in a distant second. And, since Jared the Subway Guy managed 10.5% of the vote, shouldn't Subway start serving SURGE??? ;)

That's all the time we have for this week. Thank you for your support…we will bring it back!

Sincerely,

Eric Karkovack
