Avery to Speak with Midwest Coca-Cola
SaveSURGE.org Co-Webmaster Avery Lund announced this week that he will be meeting with a representative of Midwest Coca-Cola Bottling Company on Wednesday, November 26. He will be discussing the fate of our beloved SURGE and he needs your help!

Avery is inviting SURGE fans to submit their questions for Midwest Coca-Cola via the SaveSURGE.org Message Board:
http://www.karks.com/surge/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=562

While he can't guarantee that he will use your question, he will read through each one and ask as many as possible. Stay tuned to SaveSURGE.org for the results of Avery's talk with Midwest Coca-Cola. Good luck, Avery!

Eric Working on a Plan - It's Big!
SaveSURGE.org Co-Webmaster Eric Karkovack (that's me!) announced this week that he and an anonymous friend have been devising a plan to bring SURGE back to the thirsty masses. And the best part is that our friends at The Coca-Cola Company have agreed to listen! While that's not a guarantee that our plan will become a reality, it does mean that we at least have a chance. Stay tuned to SaveSURGE.org for more details as they become available.

'Family Guy' May Come Back - Why it should Inspire Us
The Family Guy may be back, is SURGE next? There were reports this week that FOX Television's animated cult hit "The Family Guy" may be airing new episodes on the network in 2005. So, what in the world does this have to do with SURGE???

Well, much like our beloved fully loaded citrus soda, The Family Guy had developed quite a loyal and dedicated fan base over its sporadic three year run, only to be taken away. Fans of the show didn't give up hope and rallied by forming a very large community online in hopes of bringing The Family Guy back to television (sound familiar?). In over a year of campaigning for the show, FOX finally seems to be listening to the fans. They are now considering a re-launch with all new episodes.

If we can take anything from this story, it's that SURGE fans can make a difference, even if it doesn't happen overnight. We must continue to keep our focus on making Coca-Cola and its bottlers aware that we want our SURGE. The more phone calls we make, the more letters we write, the better chance we have of tasting our favorite soda once again. Keep up the great work, SURGE fans!

Coca-Cola Interview Update
There have been no new developments regarding SaveSURGE.org's interview with Coca-Cola. Please stay tuned, when we know something you'll know something ;)

Poll Results - Feel the Power of SURGE
The latest SURGE Poll asked you: If SURGE comes back, which sport would you like to see it sponsor?

25.4% - NFL Football
24.5% - NHL Hockey
16.3% - Auto Racing
12.2% - NBA Basketball
11.4% - WWE Wrestling
6.5% - MLB Baseball
2.4% - ATP/WTA Tennis
0.8% - PGA/LPGA Golf

Total Votes: 122

This was an extremely close vote that came down to the NFL and the league that SURGE used to sponsor, the NHL. Whatever sport SURGE sponsors, it would be great to see it back in the spotlight.

That's all the time we have for this week. Thank you SURGE fans and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

Eric Karkovack
Co-Webmaster
