National SaveSURGE Month
Winding Down - But Not Yet!
This edition of SaveSURGE News is being published on the last Friday
in September. That means just one more day to call, write and e-mail
for National SaveSURGE
Month. The message is still as important as ever and we need
you to keep on spreading the word!
Let's make this finale a grand one! SURGE fans
you have done such a great job in participating in National SaveSURGE
Month. Your letters and phone calls have let Coca-Cola, its bottlers
and local businesses who serve Coke products know that SURGE should
be right on the top of their priority list. But the month isn't
over yet and it's our mission to finish it off with a big bang.
Let's do it one more time. Let's dig a little
deeper and make that extra effort. We want SURGE back and we have
to do what it takes to make it happen. Now go out there and spread
the word!!!!!!

Radio Interview Now Online
Great news, SURGE fans! If you don't happen to live in the Madison,
WI area and missed Avery & Eric's interview on 100X you
can now listen online. Your loyal SaveSURGE.org webmasters spent
a good 15 minutes with The Bench Jockey's back on 9/9/03 and now
everyone can join in the fun. Learn about our first time drinking
an ice cold SURGE (it may shock and disgust you!), find out how
SaveSURGE.org came about and more!
It's all waiting there for you in the SURGE
Multimedia section, located under the For the Love of SURGE
menu on the top of every page.
Salvadore Raps for SURGE
Sal has donated plenty of his creativity to For the Love of SURGE.
He's done some great poems about his favorite drink and he's also
sent in some photos as well. This time he has taken his creativity
to new heights, crafting a rap song for his beloved SURGE!
The beats are smooth (much like SURGE!) the lyrics
are heartfelt and true. SURGE fans you definitely need to check
out this great tribute to the one and only Fully Loaded Citrus Soda!
You can listen to Sal's rap in the SURGE
Multimedia section, located under the For the Love of SURGE
menu on the top of every page.
Home Made Logos Continue to Roll In
As
we told you in the last edition of SaveSURGE News, several dedicated
SURGE fans have used their creative talents to make their very own
SURGE logos. We've received several great submissions once again
this week and we encourage you to check them out in the Stories
and Photos section, located under the For the Love of SURGE
menu on the top of every page.
Hall of Fame Deadline Approaches
Your
last chance in 2003 to be inducted into the SaveSURGE.org
Hall of Fame is coming up. The deadline for sending your entries
is Tuesday, 9/30/03. Make sure to nominate
yourself or a friend for a chance at soda lovin' immortality!
Only 2 lucky SURGE fans will be inducted and will receive the coveted
Hall of Fame mug, complete with the names of every inductee.
Poll Results - Keep Feeding the Rush
The latest SURGE Poll asked you: Which SURGE Slogan do you prefer?
54.4% - Feed the Rush
22.7% - It's more than a soda, it's a way of life
13.8% - Shock the System
8.9% - None of these
Total Votes: 101
It's very clear that the majority of SURGE fans
prefer to Feed the Rush! We are also very honored that our own "It's
more than a soda, it's a ways of life" slogan came in a distant
2nd place!
Lastly this week, we've added a little note to
the bottom of our home page and I wanted to share it with you in
the newsletter as well:
"A note to SURGE Fans
- We love your dedication, we love your passion and we love the
way you've helped this site gain national attention (and more importantly,
gain Coke's attention). We also want to remind you that, no matter
what you do to promote SURGE and SaveSURGE.org, make sure it's legal!
SaveSURGE.org cannot be held responsible for your actions. Thank
you all, you're the best!"
Yeah, we are just covering our behinds but
we also don't want to see anyone get in trouble over SURGE! Most
importantly, read that last sentence of the note to yourself over
and over again because it's true!!!
Sincerely,
Eric Karkovack
