SURGE Closer to Reality in
Sheboygan?
Our
friends in Wisconsin are continuing to work very hard to bring SURGE
back to Sheboygan, as has been demonstrated in the SaveSURGE.org
Bulletin Board on a daily basis. The folks over at the local
Coca-Cola bottler have said that SURGE is indeed being considered
for a comeback!!!! That would be the first in the country and a
HUGE step forward for all of us.
Wisconsin residents served by the Sheboygan bottler
should call 920-457-2231 (warning, this may be a long distance call
for some of you
if you are under 18 get your parents permission
first) and request that SURGE be brought back! If you don't live
in Wisconsin or you don't want to make a long distance call you
can write to them at:
Coca Cola
1837 North Avenue
Sheboygan, WI 53083
Let's keep up the great work everyone, we can
bring it back!
Show K-Mart that you Care
We've
been quite alarmed lately at the number of K-Mart retail stores
that have been removing SURGE from their K-Café fountains
of late. Our beloved green soda has often been replaced by the likes
of Hi-C, Minute Maid Orange and worst of all Mello Yello in far
too many locations. It's time for SURGE fans to take a stand.
SaveSURGE.org has started a letter writing campaign
to let the great folks at K-Mart know that we'd be forever grateful
(and forever spending our money) if they would bring SURGE back
to its fountains. We encourage each of you to visit the link to
the K-Mart
customer feedback form we've provided on the SaveSURGE.org
home page and let them know how you feel. Tell them about why
you love SURGE, tell them about SaveSURGE.org and tell them about
how carrying SURGE would be a great business move for them. You
may also want to visit and/or call your local K-Mart as well.
K-Mart has a golden opportunity to become the
nation's #1 source for SURGE but it's our job to convince them.
As we have done so many times in the past, let's band together and
make a difference!
SaveSURGE.org Featured in Web Junkie
We were thrilled to learn that the site was featured this week (7/24/03
to be exact) in Canada.com's Web Junkie! Web Junkie is run by Mr.
Mark Stachiew who is a content producer for the site's Montreal
section. Even though SURGE has never been sold in Canada, it's wonderful
to know that it's getting some positive press north-of-the-border!
Visit Web Junkie at: http://www.canada.com/technology/webjunkie/
There is also a potentially huge break for SURGE
and the site that may be coming our way. We can't say what it is
yet (we're not sure if it will happen) but the best way to describe
it is: SERIOUS NATIONAL ATTENTION!
Whether it happens or not, we'll let you know. Keep your fingers
crossed for us!
Save SURGE LiveJournal Group Now Online
Thanks to SaveSURGE.org Bulletin Board user caustech, there is now
a Save SURGE LiveJournal group available at: http://www.livejournal.com/community/savesurge
It's free to join and it's another great way to
spread the word and discuss your favorite soda! Thanks caustech!!!!
Hall of Fame Inductions Next Friday!
The second group of SaveSURGE.org Hall of Famers will be inducted
on Friday, 8/1/03. Be sure to visit SaveSURGE.org on Friday morning
to find out who made the cut!
Poll Results - You Believe
This week's SURGE Poll asked you: Do you think Coca-Cola will bring
back SURGE?
68.1% - Yes
31.8% - No
Total Votes: 116
If we keep writing those letters and working hard
to spread the word, Coca-Cola will listen!
That's all the time we have for this week. Thanks to all of you
for your love of SURGE!
Sincerely,
Eric Karkovack
