Hello SURGE fans and welcome
to the 49th edition of SaveSURGE News! We love SURGE and frankly,
it shows.
Sightings Report
There were 3 new SURGE
Sightings added since the last edition of SaveSURGE News. They
are in: CA, IN & NY.
The Sierra Madre, CA Sighting is particularly
interesting because Steve wrote in to us and said that SURGE had
only been added to The Bottle Shop within the past week! He had
checked the fountain a few days earlier and SURGE wasn't there.
This is a great sign because it just might mean that somebody at
that store or perhaps even the local Coca Cola Bottler might be
listening to our message. Whoever you are, thank you and keep up
the great work!!!
Sadly, there were 3 deletions in: FL, GA &
PA.
Currently, there are 176 SURGE Sightings listed.
Thanks to everyone who's seen SURGE!
Bring URGE to the USA
We at SaveSURGE.org are continuing our efforts to bring SURGE's
Norwegian cousin URGE to the USA. We're trying (and you are doing
a great job) to convince the folks over at Real Soda that importing
URGE would be a great move. We've set up a special topic on the
Real Soda message board dedicated to URGE:
http://www.realsoda.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=26
We've definitely gotten Real Soda's attention
but we have to keep up our efforts in order to win them over. If
you haven't already signed in to the message board, please do so
now!
Timb's Open Letter to Coca-Cola
SaveSURGE.org Hall
of Famer Timb the Enchanter has been very busy lately moving
from Arizona all the way east to Florida but that hasn't stopped
him from campaigning for SURGE. Once again proving his Hall of Fame
credentials, he shared this stirring open letter to Coca-Cola with
us in hopes to inspire all SURGE fans to do the same:
"Hello,
My name is Timothy Kuder. I am closely associated with a group dedicated
to bringing back the full production and distribution of "SURGE".
This group is of course independent of the Coca-Cola company and
posts information regarding our interests at www.savesurge.org.
I also began a petition to the Coca-Cola company which has demanded
that this product be brought back in full production. As of today,
this petition has garnered over 3000 signatures from loyal customers
who wish to have this product on the market again for their enjoyment.
It is my strong belief that it is time for the Coca-cola company
to acknowledge that this is a good product and a worthwhile product
with an extremely dedicated consumer base. This petition and its
multitude of signatures can be viewed at http://www.petitiononline.com/savesurg/petition.html
Since SURGE's disappearance, I have seen customers hoard stockpiles
of this product and sell 12-packs on eBay for $70 as supplies become
harder to locate. This is ludicrous and obscene and just goes to
show the infatuation that we have with SURGE.
Please do not overlook and disregard this enormous petition or the
tremendous efforts put forth on savesurge.org to contact local bottlers
and the Coca-Cola company. Please return SURGE to full-scale production
so that we may enjoy it again.
Cheers,
Timb"
THANK YOU Timb! You are true embodiment of SURGE.
Now, we encourage each and every SURGE fan to take the same action
that Timb has. Please check out our How
You Can Help section and Write your Local Bottler!
Mountain Dew LiveWire & Sprite Tropical
Remix Opinions
The opinions for these new beverages keep rolling in
Corri Hates LiveWire
Cough syrup. That's what Mountain Dew Livewire tastes like, only
it doesn't coat my throat and make me sleep better. It'd be nice
if it did cause those would be the only two redeeming qualities
of it. On the plus side I was able to play a nasty trick on my sister
with the bottle I bought. I left her it with a note on it that said
"It's really good, I left you half the bottle!" So she
came home and chugged it, only to spit it out in the sink and scream
out "That was the nastiest thing ever!" while I sat back
and laughed. But other than tormenting your friends and family I
see no use for Mountain Dew Livewire.

Jim, Meanwhile, Enjoys LiveWire
It has a great taste but won't surpass Surge or Sunkist as my favorite.

Greg on Remix
Dude, I love Tropical Sprite remix
Greg on LiveWire
I also love Mountain Dew Livewire
JP on Mountain Dew LiveWire
The plus side is it has no aftertaste. The down side is it tastes
like melted orange sticks and peroxide.
JP on Sprite Tropical Remix
Sprite is back in tropical form! Tropical what? I have no idea;
the design of the bottle leaves a bad enough taste.
