Operation: Clone SURGE
-------------------------------------
A very dedicated SURGE fan named Joseph wrote in a few weeks ago
with a great suggestion. It seems there is a celebrity chef out
there named Todd Wilbur who has published a series of books entitled
"Top Secret Recipes" in which he clones the recipes of
famous foods. He's cloned the Outback Steakhouse Bloomin' Onion,
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, YooHoo Chocolate Beverages and hundreds
upon hundreds more famous recipes. According to his website, www.topsecretrecipes.com
, he was even able to fool Regis Philbin a few times with his cloned
recipes (and we know how hard that is!).
Mr. Wilbur says that most of the recipes he decides
to clone come from fan suggestions via his website. Therefore, Joseph
thought (and we agreed), that starting an e-mail campaign was a
great way to get Mr. Wilbur to clone our beloved SURGE. Make no
mistake about it, we still want Coca-Cola bottlers to resume full-scale
production of SURGE. But, until that day comes, having a clone that
we could make ourselves would be a great second option!

12 Pack Brings Serious Cash on eBay
--------------------------------------------------------
Last week a great big surprise popped up on the ever-popular auction
site eBay (www.ebay.com)
when a listing for an unopened
12 pack of SURGE was discovered. The opening bid price was a
measly $4.00, not much more than you would have paid at the grocery
store. But, that was just the beginning
When it was all said and done on the night of
Tuesday, February 25, that 12 pack of delicious citrus goodness
was sold for a whopping $49.92 (plus $8.50 shipping) and was bid
on 34 times!!!
If Coca-Cola and its bottlers needed any more
proof that there is still a huge desire for SURGE out there, this
would be it.
There is currently another 12 pack on auction,
but unfortunately the cans are empty. Be sure to read the fine print
before you bid!
