Welcome one and all to the 32nd edition of SaveSURGE
News. Now in our 10th month of helping you "seize the green".
Sightings Update
-------------------------
There have been four new SURGE
Sightings since the last edition of SaveSURGE News. They are
in: CA, FL MN & PA.
Unfortunately, there were two deletions in Mechanicsburg,
PA and Norfolk, VA.
Currently, there are 147 SURGE Sightings listed.
A great big thanks to everyone who's sent in a Sighting!!!!
What Would You Do?
-------------------------------
A message recently popped up on the SaveSURGE.org
Bulletin Board asking the question:
"What would you all think about Surge having
a new identity/look? New color scheme? New attitude to take it completely
out of comparisons to Mtn. Pooh? (Dew)"
It's a very interesting question and something
all SURGE fans should think about. We all know what a great beverage
SURGE is, but there are many people out there who don't realize
it just yet.
So ask yourself, what steps would you take to
re-invent SURGE? Would you give it a new logo? New package? What
kind of people should SURGE be marketed to?
Use your imagination and post your thoughts under
the topic "New look for Surge" on our Bulletin Board (click
on this link).
More Media Attention
-------------------------------
Recently, we discovered that SaveSURGE.org was mentioned in the
11/7/02 edition of the Daily Press in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Columnist
Pernell Watson regularly answers questions from his readers and
on this particular day, some wonderful person asked him "What
happened to the soft drink SURGE?"
In the article, Mr. Watson writes of the plight
of our favorite green beverage and then proceeds to mention SaveSURGE.org.

Horde the Green
-------------------------
A loyal SaveSURGE.org visitor wrote in with their SURGE-rific experience
at a local Chuck E Cheese:
"This whole thing starts about four weeks
ago. I was forced into going to a b-day party at Chuck E Cheese.
I then found this site and realized they served SURGE!! I decided
I needed some of this stuff and that it would be my only chance
to get some for a while. So before leaving I made sure I had a few
plastic bags with nozells on em in my backpack. They each hold up
to a gallon and are usually found at Wal-Mart for about $10 each.
So over the four hours of this insanely dull party and giant rat
lip synching I got two whole gallons of SURGE!!! I had to first
empty a pitcher of Coke by myself and then take all of the ice out,
and then go to the fountain and fill it with SURGE and then using
a funnel I got it in to the bags. Some people took notice and looked
at me like I was nuts, but hey I got to have SURGE for about a whole
week. And surprisingly most of the carbonation stayed with it!...I
am bound for Chuck E Cheese for yet another b-day party in about
3 weeks. I hope to get even more on my next outing!! I`m hoping
that they make 10 gallon bags, cuz that would be sweet for a party,
with only 1 guest, ME!!!!"
It's just one more display of just how much SURGE
means to the world!
That's all the time we have for this week. Thanks for caring about
SURGE!!!!!!
Sincerely,
Eric Karkovack
