SaveSURGE News

Greetings, fellow friends of SURGE! Welcome to the 30th edition of SaveSURGE News. We're helping you feed the rush, everyday.

Sightings Update
--------------------------
There have been 10 new SURGE Sightings since the last edition of SaveSURGE News. They are in: CA (3), CT, IL, IN, MO, NJ, PA & TN.

Unfortunately, there have been 3 deletions in: CA, FL & PA (a moment of silence please).

Overall, there are currently 141 SURGE Sightings online. Thanks to everyone who keeps an eye out for SURGE!

Love is in the Air
-------------------------
That's right folks, there have been many additions to our For the Love of SURGE section!

-Diana has one amazing SURGE collection and generously sent in some great photos.
-Jim also has an excellent SURGE collection, but combined all of his items into one photo.
-Graphix decided to try both of our homemade SURGE recipes and shared his thoughts and photos regarding them.

dnL a SURGE Wannabe?
------------------------------------
We've received some letters and saw some rumors on the BevBoard (located at http://www.bevnet.com ) and now we want to know what you think!

dnL is a flavor extension of the ever-popular 7up. In fact, the logo for dnL is just 7up, upside down. Apparently, it's supposed to be the opposite of 7up in every way. We at SaveSURGE.org have received some letters and scanned the message boards and it seems that many people feel that dnL is at least somewhat similar to SURGE. Unfortunately, dnL is only being test marketed at the moment and won't be available nationwide until January 2003. As of this writing, I have not had a chance to sample it yet.

Even though it's not the real thing, perhaps a SURGE-like drink will get the wonderful folks at Coca-Cola and their bottlers to reconsider SURGE's place in the beverage market. Let's hope for a re-launch!

If any loyal SaveSURGE.org visitors have tried dnL, we'd love to hear from you! Send us your thoughts via e-mail at: surge@savesurge.org and we'll be sure to share them with the world.

Bottler of the Week
-----------------------------
The honor of SaveSURGE.org Bottler of the Week goes out to New York, New York! I don't have to tell you about NYC because you probably know all about it. It's grand, it's glitzy, but one thing it doesn't have is SURGE. So, get out those stamps and dial those phones and let the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of New York, Inc. know that you want to pain the Big Apple a nice, bright GREEN!

The Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of New York, Inc.
3 Skyline Dr.
P.O. Box 1012
Hawthorne, NY 10532

Phone: 1-800-219-8837

For your convenience we've provided a form letter that you can just print, sign and mail on our How You Can Help page.

Would you like your local Coca-Cola bottler to be the next SaveSURGE.org Bottler of the Week? If so, e-mail us your name, hometown, zip code and any bottler information you might have (it's ok if you don't know who your bottler is, we should be able to locate it for you) to us at: surge@savesurge.org

That's all the time we have for this week. Thanks for making SaveSURGE.org the #1 SURGE site in the world!!!

Sincerely,

Eric Karkovack
