SaveSURGE News

Howdy SURGE fans and welcome to the 148th edition of SaveSURGE News! Bringing you the latest fully loaded news since 2002.

This Week in Vault
Road Trip Delivers, Eventually
It was just a crazy week for Vault! At least, for me it truly was. After gaining confirmation from a Coca-Cola bottler on Friday, June 3 that Vault would indeed be hitting the shelves in Roanoke, VA that weekend, I decided to take the 250 mile drive from my home in PA.

On Sunday, June 5 Vault was nowhere to be found! After visiting over a dozen stores in the Roanoke area, I went home feeling more than a little disappointed. However, all was not lost.

After reading my post about the trip on SaveSURGE.org’s Vault Reviews section, a great man who has ties to our favorite company offered to send me some of the delicious soda at no cost! This absolutely has made up for the Vault-less trip :)

On Friday, June 10 a shipment of two delicious cases of Vault, along with some excellent swag, arrived at my door! To get the full story and photos please visit:

To read my review of Vault (hint: VERY SURGE-like! I think SURGE fans will be very happy with what they taste!) check out:

Special thanks to my well-connected friend for the Vault and merchandise! And, as it turns out, Vault started selling in VA the day AFTER I left!

Our Community Given Credit for Vault
A recent conversation with someone within Coca-Cola revealed that the SaveSURGE.org community is indeed partly responsible for the recent launch of Vault!

I was told that, because of SURGE fans’ continued interest and campaigns to save the brand, we had an influence on the decision to release of the nearly-identical Vault. Give yourselves a pat on the back, SURGE fans!

Employees from both Coca-Cola and its bottlers have been keeping a very close watch on our Vault Reviews section to see our reactions to the brand. All indications are that Coca Cola is very excited by our community’s positive reviews. There is now real talk that Vault could see a national release in the future :)

Hometown Favorites Shows Interest
Our friends over at HometownFavorites.com have shown real interest in selling Vault to fans nationwide through their website. They specialize in selling regional and otherwise hard-to-find grocery items. The store is based in Virginia Beach, VA.

I had a phone conversation with a representative of the store who related to me that they have had many requests for Vault. They are in the process of locating the soda and if they are able to purchase a supply, there’s a good chance they will begin selling it online! That’s great news for those of us who don’t live in one of the testing states.

Poll Results – Driven to Vault
The latest SURGE Poll asked you: How far will you go to get your hands on some Vault?

37.9% - Over 50 miles
24.1% - I'd rather order it online
21.5% - 1-10 miles
16.3% - 10-50 miles

Total Votes: 153

Personally, I drove over 500 miles this past Sunday just for a shot at this stuff. After tasting it, it was worth it!

That’s all the time we have for this week. Thanks for your continued support!
