SaveSURGE News
Hello once again SURGE fans and welcome to the 129th edition of SaveSURGE News! Since 2002, we’re still fighting to bring delicious SURGE to you.

We can’t win our fight without your help! Please give our friends at Coca-Cola a call, toll-free, at 1-800-GET-COKE and let them know that you want SURGE.

Sightings Report
SURGE SightingsThere have been no new confirmed SURGE Sightings since the last edition of SaveSURGE News.

Once again, there were no deletions this week.

Currently, there are 45 SURGE Sightings listed. Thanks to all of you who keep an eye out for SURGE!

SURGE.com Sees a Change
No, not SaveSURGE.com (or SaveSURGE.org). I’m talking about SURGE.com, the old domain name that used to be Coca-Cola’s official website address for our beloved SURGE.

For quite awhile typing www.surge.com into your web browser would simply return an error message. However, this week it was discovered that surge.com now will redirect you to Coca-Cola’s website.

While I’m not sure if this directly relates to a SURGE comeback, it is one of those little signs of hope. I do know that there are serious discussions going on at Coca-Cola relating to our favorite soda. That, my friends, is a great reason for hope!

Polar Bears Powered by SURGE
The Polar BearsOne of the coolest stories that we have received came from a trio of young men who took the Polar Bear Plunge in Jacksonport, WI. Totally Ted, Krazy Kurt and Radical Rod took the plunge on this past New Year’s Day. However, they didn’t do it alone.

Before they ventured into those icy Wisconsin waters, the guys had an equally cold can of SURGE! The guys told us, "We could not have done it without green goodness in our blood!!".

They even sent along some photos of themselves enjoying that SURGE before they took the plunge. I’m cold just looking at them!

Check out the photos in For the Love of SURGE:

Full ThrottleSURGE Fans Try Full Throttle
Have you tried Full Throttle? It’s Coca-Cola’s new citrus-flavored energy drink. SURGE fans Marty and SaveSURGE.org Hall of Famer Drew Bizzell have both written reviews of the new beverage.

Find out if Full Throttle is worth at try in this SaveSURGE News Special Report:

Poll Results – 2005 will be our year!
The latest SURGE Poll asked you: Will 2005 be the year of a SURGE comeback?

78.6% - Yes! I believe!!!
21.3% - No

Total Votes: 150

It appears that the overwhelming majority of you agree with me! As many of you know, there have been discussions between myself and Coca-Cola. While I am not at liberty to share all of the details of those discussions (which is why I don’t mention it very often on the site), I can say that I am extremely confident that 2005 will be our year! We’ll just have to keep on trying while trying to remain patient at the same time. Stay tuned, we have a big year ahead of us!

Well, that’s all the time we have for this week. Thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Eric Karkovack
