Enjoy a Blast from the Past
SaveSURGE.org has been fighting to save the soda you love since way back in February 2002. During that time there have been some amazing contributions to the site made by SURGE fans just like you. Those contributions include songs, stories, photos, recipes and even poems.
They’ve all had such a positive impact on the growth of the SaveSURGE Community. Just think, where would SaveSURGE.org be today without some of those great moments?
That got us to thinking: How might we celebrate some of the best contributions made to the site? Out of that thinking, the SaveSURGE.org Blast from the Past was born.
The SaveSURGE.org Blast from the Past is a great way to relive some of our past glories and also introduce them to a whole new group of fans. Just look for the retro-style SaveSURGE.org Blast from the Past banner on our home page (www.SaveSURGE.org), click it and view a fun moment in our history!

The SURGE Shack!
From 2002
SURGE Fan Marcus gives us our first-ever addition to our For the Love of SURGE section! It's a group of photos from The SURGE Shack which used to proudly display its colors at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Sadly, this beautiful building was eventually converted into some sort of ICEE stand.
Check it out! |

Our first choice for a Blast from the Past moment is our friend Marcus giving us a photographic tour of the SURGE Shack at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Let the photos take you back to a time when your favorite citrus soda made for a big attraction at one of the most popular amusement parks in the country. What’s more, these photos were the first-ever additions to our For the Love of SURGE section!
Stay tuned, each week we will be providing you with another great Blast from the Past.

New Love
OK, so it’s great to re-live some of the best moments from our past. But it’s also great to live in the present! Here are two very cool additions to our For the Love of SURGE section:
-Andrew spotted a SURGE vending machine (thought to be long-extinct) in his local newspaper!
http://www.savesurge.org/surge/andrewh_machine.shtml
-Debbie has created her own SURGE animation to support our cause:

As always, check out For the Love of SURGE to get your fix:

Poll Results – The price? Too high!
The latest SURGE Poll asked you: Have you ever purchased a SURGE-related item on eBay?
53% - No
46.9% - Yes
Total Votes: 49
With 12 packs now selling routinely for over $100 and other items also grabbing big bucks, only the very rich or those who have qualified for platinum status at their local bank can afford to shop for SURGE.
That’s all the time we have for this week. Thank you SURGE fans for your continued support!!!
Sincerely,
Eric Karkovack
