SaveSURGE.org to Appear in Beverage World – Again!
I was interviewed this past week by Andrew Kaplan from Beverage World Magazine. Andrew is working on a story for the industry publication about sodas that have been brought back after disappearing from store shelves.
The article is tentatively scheduled to be in the October 2004 issue of Beverage World. We will have more information as it becomes available.

URGE Fans Support SURGE Fans!
SaveSURGE.org Hall of Famer Drew Bizzell recently made some new friends – from Norway! These two unnamed men from abroad recently sent in some photos of them enjoying SURGE’s Norwegian equivalent, URGE. They even posted some SaveSURGE.org flyers on their wall to show support.
Thanks to Drew and to our new friends in Norway for their continued support!

Syrup at Food Service Companies?
We received a tip from an anonymous employee of our favorite company recently that suggests the place to find SURGE syrup may just be your local food service company. The two companies that were mentioned specifically are SYSCO (http://www.sysco.com) and U.S. Foodservice (http://www.usfoodservice.com).
While there is no guarantee that your local branch of either company has SURGE syrup in stock, our source indicated that they have been known to carry expired syrup from time to time.
Personally, I have a message into SYSCO to see if they do have a supply of SURGE syrup. Hopefully they will have a few old boxes laying around!
If you happen to get your hands on a few gallons of that citrus goodness in syrup form, check out my step-by-step guide to help you make it into genuine SURGE:

There’s an awful lot of loyalty to our friends at Coca-Cola – now it’s time for them to return the favor!
