Greetings SURGE fans and welcome to the 113th edition of SaveSURGE News! We won’t give up until there is SURGE in our cup.

This is a very special edition of SaveSURGE News because, as you all know, September is National SaveSURGE Month. As this newsletter is published on its customary day of Friday, this is also the day when we ask you to call Coca-Cola toll-free at 1-800-GET-COKE. Call them as many times as you possibly can each and every Friday during September and politely request that SURGE be brought back to store shelves.

While calling Coke is our main focus this month, there are plenty of other things you can do if you want to help out even more. Distribute the SaveSURGE.org Flyer, spread the word to your friends, contact your local Coke bottler, start your own local petition and even wear your SURGE & SaveSURGE.org gear. Also, SURGE fan Caustech has made the brilliant suggestion of wearing green ribbons to show your support. Ribbons are a very popular way to promote a cause so stop by your local gift or craft store and make you and your friends a ribbon!

On a personal note, Avery & I would just like to thank all of you for making all of this possible. We are continually amazed at the passion and creativity which SURGE fans display on a daily basis.

Despite the fact that Coca-Cola won’t say so publicly, believe me when I tell you that we have turned some heads at the company. Progress is being made and even though they won’t come out and say it, they like what we’re all doing.

SURGE Recognized by the Webtender
This week we received a letter from Pål Løberg, who is the webmaster over at Webtender (www.webtender.com), a site that I’ve been visiting since the 90s! Pål wrote to me and expressed sadness that SURGE is no longer available in the US. He lives in Norway and his favorite drink is URGE. He reports that URGE is still alive and well in his part of the world.

Webtender is an outstanding website for those of you who are of legal drinking age. It tells you how to make just about any mixed alcoholic beverage known to man! It’s where I found one of my all time favorites, the “Bob Dylan”. It consists of Jägermeister and SURGE! It tastes like one amazing fruit punch.
