G’day SURGE fans and welcome to the 107th edition of SaveSURGE News! Nobody knows SURGE like we do.
We know that you want SURGE back and we suggest giving Coca-Cola a call toll-free at 1-800-GET-COKE to let them know.
Sightings Report
There were no new SURGE Sightings reported since the last edition of SaveSURGE News.
Sadly, there were 3 deletions in North Hampton, MA; Ocean City, MD and Auburn, NY.
Currently, there 67 SURGE Sightings listed. Thanks to all of you who’ve seen SURGE!
In other Sightings news, we recently heard from SURGE fan Jorge who saw something that brought back some good memories: a SURGE cab! He lives in Sioux City, IA and was on his way to church when all of the sudden he spotted the cab.
While Jorge was happy to see the SURGE cab in his town, Matt wasn’t so lucky. He wrote in to tell us of a roadtrip in which he came home empty-handed:
“While being really bored last Thursday, I decided I'd take a road trip to Auburn, NY (I live outside of Buffalo, so it’s a good 5 hour drive). To make a long story short, I finally found the Mobile after asking 5 different places for directions, and as I walk towards the fountain hoping to find an old familiar logo…it's Pepsi. They switched over to Pepsi stuff. The lady said they haven't had Surge in years. Needless to say I was very disappointed, considering I had to drive so far to get there, but I thought I'd let you know so nobody else makes the same mistake I made.”

We were thrilled with the number of folks who decided to take the quiz! Look for a new version of the quiz to popup sometime again in the future.
Write to Coke, Get a Coupon!
In case you hadn’t heard, Coca-Cola and its bottlers are often appreciative of letters they receive from consumers. SaveSURGE.org Hall of Famer Will found that out when he received two, $1 coupons in the mail in response to his letter. Here’s a copy of Coke’s reply:
“Dear William:
Thank you for contacting The Coca-Cola Company. We appreciate hearing from such a loyal SURGE fan.
We are very pleased that consumers would take the time to contact us and we are glad to know how much you enjoy SURGE. We regret that it is not available in your area. Consumer feedback is important to us. We will forward your comments to our marketing department for review.
Here at The Coca-Cola Company, we take great pride in the soft drinks we produce and sell throughout the world. Comments like yours are a positive reinforcement of the quality and refreshment we work hard to achieve. Furthermore, it’s consumers like you who help keep our soft drinks on top year after year. Thanks so much for your support!
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us again. You can also visit us on the web at www.coca-cola.com.”
Coca-Cola bottlers have also been known to give out coupons for free 12-packs on occasion! We encourage you to write to Coca-Cola and its bottlers. It’s easy, it spreads the word and you may get something free out of the deal!

Soda Favorites Back Online
After a few months of being offline, SodaFavorites.com is back with a new design and an expanded product catalog. Site owner George made the announcement on the SaveSURGE.org Bulletin Board on Thursday, July 15.
He wrote, "I worked hard to get it done and make use of the service, as I feel it is a valuable asset to the community."
Not all sections are functional as of this writing but George and his team are planning to have the site completed very soon.

Poll Results – SURGE has a “Spidey Sense”
The latest SURGE Poll asked you: If SURGE were to sponsor just 1 blockbuster this summer, which would you prefer?
33.3% - Spider-Man 2
22.8% - Farenheit 9/11
17.5% - Dodgeball
13.1% - Shrek 2
12.2% - Harry Potter
0.8% - King Arthur
Total Votes: 114
The great citrus soda and one of the biggest hits of the summer would make a great combo!
That’s all the time we have for this week. Thanks to all of you for your continued support of SURGE!
