For the Love of SURGE

Jacob H.'s SURGE-Themed Birthday
Jacob had a birthday that featured the greatest soday in history:

Feb. 20th was my 15th birthday...and it was a SURGE birthday!!!

For Christmas I got some money to spend on SURGE stuff. When Feb. rolled around I still hadn't spent my money so I decided to bid on a little something for an early birthday present to myself. That little something was a sealed and full SURGE bottle (1st gen logo) I didn't have an ebay account at the time so Cody let me use his...and I greatly thank him for that.

Well, the bidding started out at 7 bucks but some guy kept outbidding me and the final price (with shipping) cost 30 bucks (all of my Christmas money.

I waited for 7 days...then the package arrived at Cody's house (I was using his ebay account remember.) anyway he rushed over to my house so I could open my package. The guy who sent it to us must have used a whole roll of Scotch Tape 'cause it probably took me a good 5 min. before I could get it open.

When I finaly got it open I was in awe. It was the first time I held a SURGE bottle in years. My first sense was to open it, but I thought better of it. The expiration date on it was either Jul of 98 or 99, it was pretty faded. Some of the air has seeped out so the bottle is kinda lop sided and there is a dent on the bottom.

Now that SURGE sits on my shelf and every day it gets harder to control the urge to chill and drink. But I have to force myself not to...I mean I do have more money and that means I'll be drinking some very soon.

Then on my birthday my mom got me a SURGE cake!!!! Originaly I had a picture of a SURGE logo to scan but the lady said that scanning trademarks is against the law (what's Coke gonna do...sue me for eating a SURGE logo?!) so she free handed it...it is good for free handing it though.

Awesome!
