For the Love of SURGE

Hiatt's Love of SURGE
Hiatt wrote in to share a love of SURGE and SaveSURGE.org!

Greetings and salutations, SURGE-fanatics! My name is Hiatt, and I'm 14 years old and in 8th grade. I remember I was about 8 years old when the emerald green citrus soda hit the market. It took me a while to get around to trying it, but eventually I did, and I loved it. Back then the only sodas I ever wanted to drink were Surge and its counterpart, Citra. They were my two favorite sodas for a good part of my childhood. But then I got around to trying Wild Cherry Pepsi, my current soda, and I didn't notice Surge fading away and disappearing. I never paid any attention to the fact that I would never get to taste Surge again. Now I realize how, like an 8 year old, I squandered Surge's time on the market. Now it's 2006, and I can't ever remotely remember what Surge tasted like. But I knew it was good.

But even though Surge is gone, I still love soda. I can't stand a day where I don't drink a refreshing can of soda, Wild Cherry Pepsi primarily. That's the reason I've written this, because I love soda, and I know that everyone at SaveSURGE.org loves soda, too. I've really enjoyed reading about your Surge experiences, and how you've fought to bring Surge back. So I've written this email to tell everyone at SaveSURGE.org how much I respect what you're doing. I know what it's like to be obsessed with a soda, and I find it quite inspiring how you do whatever it takes to save your soda, Surge. So I just wanted to tell everyone to stay dedicated to the soda you love, and keep the fight alive.

With much respect,
Hiatt

Thanks for the kind words Hiatt!
