Weekly Interview: CitraSURGEMoose54
I know, it’s been several weeks since we’ve done our “weekly” interview! One thing leads to another and somehow it hasn’t made an appearance in awhile. That changes starting today! We’re going to setup a thread on the Bulletin Board under “General Discussion” that creates the opportunity for members to be interviewed.
This week’s interview is with CitraSURGEMoose54, who is a longtime member of our community and has contributed a lot of great content to SaveSURGE.org.
1. What do you remember most about SURGE?
My memories mostly consist of drinking SURGE at Burger King and/or Taco Bell. There was an unexplainable aura of disappointment when I went to said restaurants, and consistently received either Mello Yello or Sprite. I went online in 2003, found this site, and here I am.
2. What do you enjoy most about our community?
As Drew Bizzell said in his documentary, "Everybody needs a cause". I'm not a socially active guy. I have friends, but don't get out much. The feeling of having a family who shares the same concern is one that is indescribable. Also, the songs and media on the Love page is amazing.
3. Have you tried Vault yet? If so, what do you think?
As you've already seen, I made a trip to Pigeon Forge, TN in July and bought 2-liters, 20 oz., and 12-packs in bulk. I think that Vault is the best thing to happen to this community in a while. It's not the SURGE that I remember, but it's so close that I consider it a victory.
4. Do you think Coke's idea to launch a diet version of Vault is a good idea?
I think that releasing a diet version is a double-edged sword. It will either open up to a lot of new fans and supporters, or it will alienate fans and cause time to reset itself. I don't wanna have to fight for SURGE again.
5. What other sodas do you enjoy?
dnL, Full Throttle, Mountain Dew Pitch Black II, 7UP Plus Island Fruit, Coke with Lime, Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper.
Thanks to CitraSURGEMoose54 for taking time out of his day to speak with us!
That’s all the time we have for this week. Thank you all for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Eric Karkovack
