Vault Continues Momentum in Michigan
Vault fan Jesse was kind enough to share some excellent news with us! The Grand Rapids (MI) Press recently ran an article about Vault and its early success so far in the area.

According to the article, Coke spokesman Scott Williamson said “We have been very pleased with the response Vault has gotten in test markets…We’re hearing positive reviews from all over…”

This is yet another great boost for our hopes to see Vault released nationwide. But, we need you to help push us over the edge!

Please call Coca-Cola toll-free at 1-800-GET-COKE and request that Vault be made available in your town.

Weekly Interview – Jimmy Nealon
This week’s interview features Jimmy Nealon, lead singer of a popular Rochester, NY band called “THE SURGE”! He wrote to us awhile back and we simply couldn’t resist talking about a band with such a cool name :)

1. How did you come up with the name “The Surge” for the band? Was it because you are fans of our favorite soda?
The concept behind THE SURGE is high-energy. We take music from a wide variety of artists and genres and we “give it a boost”. We simply refuse to stand still…EVER !!!

We love the idea of combining SURGE soda with an energy drink like we hear VAULT is similar too. We are very anxious to try it. Our performances require many energy drinks. Perhaps the VAULT will be THE SURGE’s new fuel source.

2. Who are your musical influences?
THE SURGE is a tremendously versatile group and as one can imagine has had many influences. Some of these include Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Green Day, Poison, Goo Goo Dolls, Ozzy Osbourne & Led Zeppelin.

3. I noticed a picture of you wearing SURGE soda t-shirt. Have you ever talked about the soda on stage?
Actually we have! Doug (one of our lead guitarists) and I found Surge t-shirts on eBay and we thought it would be cool to buy them and to wear them on stage sometimes. We of course mention our love of SURGE soda during performances when we wear the shirts.

4. Where would you like the band to be in 5 years?
On a tropical island filled with gorgeous young women, a large sound system, our instruments & a natural spring that yields SURGE soda.

5. What can fans expect while attending a show?
Energy Unleashed!!! Lots of crowd participation along with some mayhem, tight music & vocals and a packed dance floor. Excitement & fun with guys who don’t realize they aren’t famous YET!!!

Thanks Jimmy and keep on rockin’! For more information on THE SURGE, visit them at: www.thesurgerocks.net.

That’s all the time we have for this week. Thank you all for your continued support!

Sincerely,

Eric Karkovack
