Greetings SURGE and Vault fans and welcome to the 13th edition of The Kick and Rush Gazette! We’re the newsletter that Pepsi warned you about.

Vault TV Commercial Spotted in NC
SaveSURGE.org Hall of Famer K.C. Cool reported via our Bulletin Board that he saw a TV commercial for Vault during the Monday Night Football game on 10/31/05! Here is K.C.’s description of what he saw:

"...a guy tearing up his neighbor's back yards with a lawn mower, tearing down fences, painting white lines on the grass, all while drinking a Vault so his kid can have a makeshift full-size football field. At the end he's on top of his roof sipping away while admiring his football creation."

We are very excited to learn that Vault is now hitting the TV airwaves! It appears that the commercial was aired locally in K.C.’s home state of North Carolina and not on a national basis. However, expect to see some form of advertising for Vault in the coming months as it is released nationally.

Thanks to K.C. for informing us about the commercial!

New Fan Maps
This week, both SaveSURGE.org and VaultKicks.org launched Fan Maps – a way for members of our community to share their hometown, their photo and a shout-out to the world.

The program is run by Frappr (stands for Friend Mapper) and is essentially a large Google Map with a new twist of interactivity. Fans can enter their name, zip code, their “shout-out” and even upload a picture to the service. Then, a large push-pin shows up on the map which fans can click on to view their profile and the profiles of other fans.

You can view and participate in our new Fan Maps by visiting the following addresses:

Weekly Interview: Cody H.
Cody (aka “Question Mark” from our Bulletin Board) has been a very dedicated SURGE fan for several years. He sat down with us to answer a few questions about what makes him tick:

1. How did you find our community and why did you decide to become a member?
Well, I remembered always getting SURGE from our Burger King and was saddened the day I asked for it and they told me they had no more of it. It is stuck in my memory. Always will be. :(

2. What are your hobbies, besides soda?
My hobbies are playing and rating video games, and watching and rating movies, along with searching the web and finding cool stuff on Google.

3. Why are you fascinated by Drew, the maker of "Save SURGE - The Movie"?
When I got my first copy of "SaveSURGE - The Movie" (now I have 3 ;) ) I thought it was great and was for a great cause. Then I started getting Drew Bizzell's other old movies and love the comedy and the way they were written.

4. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
SURGE would still be here (of course!) If not that, it would be better video games! :)

5. If you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Ummmm....big shocker here. Bryan, TX. Only some people will get the joke. (It's where Drew Bizzell lives! ;) )

Thanks to Cody for sharing his thoughts with us! Be sure to check out his blog at http://codyhauri.blogsome.com

That’s all the time we have for this week. Thank you all for your continued support!
