For the Love of SURGE

The Story Behind Andrew's "Surge-Man"
Andrew first gave us a look at Surge-Man while showing us his SURGE-decorated room. His 6-foot tall figure made out of old SURGE cans has generated lots of interest and so now Andrew brings you, the story of Surge-Man!

Ah, the SURGE Man, most beloved by all who encounter him. Yes, me and a friend created him. You see, I had this shelf that I put all my cans on after I finished drinking them. Well, after that shelf was full, we needed something to do with the cans. I felt bad just throwing them in the recycling bin. You see, they deserve more than that. So I had just been rolling the idea around in my head of a person made entirely of Surge cans. One night, my friends and I were having a round of SURGE and I mentioned the idea. They both thought it was an awesome idea, and my friend went to work right away. He built the body using cans and a lot of hot glue. When he had finished creating his body, I went to work on the "skin": Surge cans cut open. I added a face, hair, hands, and skin over most of his body (I'm still working on finishing it all). He is complete with moving arms at the shoulders and elbows, rotating wrists and neck, and a place to store SURGE in his chest. He is the highlight of my collection.
